Greetings! I have not posted in a while. I apologize. Writing a book is a lot of work and I have been busy drafting the third novel of the Time Trinket trilogy.
So, here is an update: I write using the “Snowflake Method”, which builds the novel in stages, like the petals of a snowflake. It starts with a single sentence describing the book. It then advances to writing a paragraph, a page of paragraphs detailing each sentence, and then a detailed synopsis of multiple pages detailing each section of the page.
I completed that and I finished detailed character analyses for the characters. Then, I created a spreadsheet with details for the scenes in chronological order. The content of each scene included what I wanted to accomplish in that scene plus important dialogue I could think of on the way.
Finally, I began writing the first draft of the novel, discovering where each chapter should be. This is where I am now in writing The Time Thief. I am 2/3 to 3/4 through my first draft, and I am very pleased with how it is turning out and I am excited about the developing novel.
I ask that you be patient with me. This is a lot of work, but it is also a heck of a lot of fun.
